Tanzania Football Federation TFF has begun the process of reducing the Premier Soccer teams on the continent to 16 teams.

Through the Federation's official website on Twitter TFF wrote "We plan to reduce the team from 20 teams this season to 16 teams in the 2021/2022 season.

This is after making a detailed assessment of our league." With that logic then TFF has decided to return to where it came from before deciding to increase the league to 20 teams a few years ago
